(131) Pictures at a fair 8: You mean it is not a kimono?

It is –but it is a special cotton summer kimono called “yukata” (浴衣) the girl version of which is, as a rule, extremely colorful. Actually it is a bath robe but it has long been an inseparable part of summer fairs/festivals, even in the heart of Tokyo.
