(1934) Seeing a facade like this...


...it's impossible to not understand that it is something related to sumo (unless you don't know that yokozuna champions wear over their apron a thick white rope -in which case you probably have no relationship with sumo whatsoever). That it is a restaurant serving the chanko-nabe soup that the wrestlers eat, you can understand from the illustration at the bottom. Of course in Ryogoku, Japan's (and therefore, the world's) sumo capital.
