(1909) Jazz apples


One more of those things that because you see them in Japan, you think it's completely natural they would be a Japanese invention -but they aren't. The sign says "jazz apples" (jazu ringo/ジャズりんご) but as I noticed later, they come from New Zealand (New Zirando san/ニュージーランド産) because this is where the particular cultivar was developed. Maybe there's something in the Pacific's water?
