(1846) Matsuri break

A brief return from Aizu to Asakusa for this year's official tenugui from Asakusa Jinja, Asakusa's bigger Shinto shrine and honoree in the Sanja Matsuri, Tokyo's biggest festival and for the map with the routes of the shrine's three big omikoshi for this Sunday, when the festival will be at its pinnacle. If the above don't make much sense you're probably not a regular reader of Nihon Arekore -do some digging in the archives (I don't give link because they are too many but a Google search will work too!)

(For a bigger version of this picture both in color and black and white, check my "Japan Arekore" set on Flickr)
