(2114) Ebisu

Or "恵比寿", one of the seven gods of good fortune or Shichi Fukujin (七福神) and the only native among them (the other six are imports from China and India) dfrom an ad -I don't even remember what the ad was. He was particularly loved during the Edo period and often as a pair with another of the seven, Daikokuten (大黒天) he's considered particularly auspicious in business and financial matters so he's used widely in these settings even today. Incidentally, he has given his name in one of Japan's most famous beers and because the brewery was in an area of Shibuya ward, the area is also called "Ebisu".
