(1830) Geisha and cherry blossoms

Yes, I know it's piling one cliche upon another and I'm sure the geisha of Mukojima (向島) on the opposite bank of the river know it too. That's why every year they participate in the cherry tree festival setting benches where passers-by can sit and drink tea, eat candy and take pictures with them -or take pictures of them together with the cherry blossoms.

(For a bigger version of these pictures both in color and black and white, check my "Japan Arekore" set on Flickr)
