(2892) Osaka 18: Abeno Harukas

Every city must have its monstrosity and in Osaka's case this role is played by Abeno Harukas (あべのハルカス), a multi-purpose, three- building complex which at 984 ft/60 floors is actually the tallest building in Japan; it will remain the tallest until October, when a new monstrosity, this one at 1,067 ft/64 floors will open, of course in Tokyo. (The relationship between Tokyo and Osaka is such that it's certain that after a few years Osaka will retaliate with something taller.)
