(1060) If it hasn't become clear by now...


...the Japanese take food very seriously. Many onsen serve their meals buffet-style, called "baiking" (バイキング); this here was our dinner...


...with an emphasis on this salmon cooked on a hot plate. It's a Hokkaido recipe called "chan chan yaki" (ちゃんちゃん焼き) and it's one of the best things I've eaten.


And our breakfast.
