(19) Ume matsuri: Plum festival


It’s not very big and it’s not always included in tourist guides; in a city with hundreds of shrines and temples it’s hard to figure out which is important and which isn’t. But Yushima Tenjin (or Yushima Tenmangu) in Tokyo’s Bunkyo Ward is one of the most famous places for viewing plum blossoms.
