Across the street from Kabuki theater in Ginza, a building with a façade in the woodwork style called kumiko saiku (組子細工) that is used in shoji (障子) doors and windows -the ones with the paper- and screens. Real kumiko saiku are assembled without nails and remain in place just by the pressure the pieces exert on each other.
