The area south of Tsutenkaku tower is called Shinsekai (新世界), literally "New World" and in a way reminds Tokyo's Asakusa --minus the big temple although it is close enough to Shitennoji we mentioned the other day so you could say that it is covered on that front too. Here, in Shinsekai, we had a first taste of how Osakans understand shop signs.
