(2747) A day at the Nippon Budokan

The kendoka who are going to participate after a while in the 70th All-Japan Kendo Championships, are warming up a few minutes before the event starts. Although there are countless kendo championships and tournaments in Japan, this is the most important and the one with the most prestige, hence it's held at the Nippon Budokan, next door to the imperial palace on the national holiday called "Culture Day" (Bunka no Hi/文化の日) i.e. on November 3. Incidentally, I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who has any involvement in the Japanese martial arts and happens to be in Tokyo that day to get a ticket: it's a unique experience and no, having watched videos online, doesn't count.
