...is of course the station's decoration which includes bales of rice straw used to store rice back in the day (to have good sake you need good rice). Incidentally, in Japan these bales are called "kome-dawara" (米俵) or simply "tawara" (俵).
Also various versions of the akabeko, the red cow-symbol of Aizu.
The second thing you see is the station itself.
