In a country where shoes are something worn strictly on the streets and where at home you walk either barefoot or wearing slippers, some clinics have machines like this. When you press the big red button, at the bottom part of the machine you get a pair of disinfected slippers. When you finish, you put the slippers back on the receptacle on the top so they can get disinfected again and be ready for the next patient.
