And not just any gate: the central gate of Osaka castle with the castle itself being visible in the background. This gate is called Sakuramon (桜門), it was built in 1626 by Tokugawa Idetada, (徳川 秀忠, 1579-1632), the second shogun in the Tokugawa dynasty and it was repaired extensively in 1868.
