A series of figures from the ones you find in gashapon machines with animals having their front legs (or wings or fins) in the gassho (合掌) gesture which in Buddhism (too) symbolizes prayer but, at least in Japan, also the idea of gratitude, especially before a meal and some times of apologizing. Here the whole series was in a glass case at a shop advertising Japan as a tourist destination.
