A Chinese note leaving “Matsuya” and wandering around the alleys of Kanda: clay jars from “Shaoxing” (in Japanese “shoukoushu”/紹興酒) rise-wine piled outside a Chinese restaurant. I guess even true Edokko (Edo-ites or “children of Edo”) need some variety in their diet.
