(2587) Second cherry tree...

...this time from the kindergarten and elementary school in our neighborhood. Incidentally, and this is something that is seldom said, one of the reasons that the Japanese have this thing they have with the cherry trees is because they associate them with their school years: in almost all school yards there is at least one and the time it blossoms (i.e. these days) coincides with the beginning of the school year. So when for the first twelve-thirteen years of your life, your first contact with the place you spend half of your day involves a blossoming cherry tree, it's not surprising that for the rest of your life, you'll feel something clicking inside every time you see them blossom.
