In today's annual visit to Shinjuku to celebrate (in a manner of speaking) my first day in Tokyo exactly 12 years ago, on July 22, 2009, I stopped at the station's Eastern Exit to take a picture of the giant cat that has become something of a local attraction. A plain photograph doesn't really do it justice because it doesn't shoe very well its 3D effect but you can get an idea.
