So Japan's largest bank, Mitsubishi group's MUFG has a good reason to have in front of its entrance in Nihonbashi a statue of Daikokuten (大黒天), one of the seven gods of good fortune, specializing in wealth. According to the inscription, the statue is free for touching by passersby -apparently the bank doesn't want to monopolize the good fortune he brings.
