Dashi (出汁/だし), a stock which in its basic form is made of kombu kelp and katsuobushi bonito flakes, is one of the essential ingredients of Japanese cuisine. Here, a vending machine selling bottles of dashi at a small parking lot on an Asakusa backstreet -to avoid wrong impressions, this isn't something you see every day or everywhere.
