The cake is the classic "kastella", Japan's most famous cake. The particular one though has a distinctive touch: it's crust is covered by a thin gold leaf. Unfortunately it was served at a buffet so I don't know who makes it (there's a good chance that it was from "Mameya Kanazawa Bankyu" though); besides the looks though I can't say that the taste was worthy of the idea.
