(166) The other sword

Everybody knows the katana, the Japanese sword. But most don’t know about their ancestors the straight edged tsurugi (剣) that have loaned their ideogram to kendo (剣道) fencing and that are still used as imperial symbols. This one is also from the Meiji University museum; this time the archaeological, not the criminology one.
