Trademark of the broader Shonan (湘南) area, the region around Enoshima Island and the old capital of the Minamoto shoguns, Kamakura which became famous in the 50’s thanks to the book “Season of the Sun” (“Taiyo no Kisetsu”/太陽の季節) by the highly controversial Tokyo governor Ishihara Shintaro: the lighthouse-observation tower in the Samuel Cocking botanical garden in Enoshima.
