Kura Zushi (くら寿司) is one of the biggest conveyor belt sushi (kaiten-sushi/回転寿司) restaurant chains and started in 1977 in Osaka and more accurately in Sakai, about which I wrote a lot when I started this Osaka feature; incidentally the very idea of conveyor belt sushi started in Osaka but not by Kura Zushi who adopted the system in 1984. Its shops are usually simpler but here it's Shinsekai so the shop has conformed to the neighborhood's style.
