I was talking the other day about Taksaki (高崎) in Gunma Prefecture (群馬県) that is the capital of Daruma (for reasons we will explain in the next few days) and about Japan's biggest Daruma fair that is held there; here are some pictures from that fair.
And to be honest, even for someone who lives in Asakusa and who can find Daruma in various sizes very close to his home, the sight is impressive!
