As can be seen from the date, there were among the first things that made in impression in Japan and I had kept them so I could post them but along the way I found others and they were forgotten until I found them again and I thought I'd use them after all. They are "train delay certificates" one for ten minutes and one for thirty: if a train has a significant delay, the station master hands these out to passengers so they will have an excuse -the rationale being, apparently, that if you just say "the train was late" people won't believe you.
