Sometimes, the way they combine things touches on blasphemy. Foe example, here, outside the "Yamasa" (ヤマサ) shop, selling kamaboko (fish paste products) in Himeji since 1916. For those who didn't get it, I mean the combination of the century plus-old sign and the noren curtain and the mascot who is wearing, of course, a kimono and eating a variation of a corn-dog but with kamaboko where the sausage should be.
