Since there is a very real possibility I have lost all the pictures I shot the last five years (efforts to salvage them are being made: when I have news, I will get back to you), I decided to do something I haven't done the last 17 years I've been living in Japan: sort out my old pictures and post some here and on Flickr. So here's the first: the oni/demon Oni Nota (鬼怒太), mascot of the Kinugawa Onsen (鬼怒川温泉) hot spring resort in Nikko, Tochigi, the first time I went there in the summer of 2009.
