This one isn't very special as a building but it houses a company known all over Japan: it is Yawatara Isogoro (八幡屋礒五郎), which since 1736, has been making the shichimi togarashi (七味唐辛子) spice mix that the Japanese use a lot.

The shop's entrance from a different angle so you can see the old sign (in Japan, when they are using these old signs, they are usually the authentic ones, from the original shop) as well as the two big chili peppers that are the basis of Yawatara Isogoro's shichimi togarashi --the other six ingredients are ginger, perilla, Japanese pepper, dried orange peel, black sesame and hemp. (The name "shichimi togarashi" means "seven-flavor chili pepper").

And in the back side of the shop, a special advertising vehicle in the shape of Yawatara Isogoro's shichimi togarashi standard packaging.
