The plum trees blossom earlier than the cherry trees but depending on the variety, sometimes you can get them both. This is one in Ueno Park's Kiyomizu Kanondo (清水観音堂) temple, in the peak of cherry blossom season (you can see them on the left), quite distinct with its two-color flowers. (Although for those, we should probably blame the temple's gardeners.)
