(2372) Unique opportunity

Nihon_arekore_02397_Ichigo_ichie_unagi_100_cl

Or in Japanese "ichi-go ichi-e" (一期一会), one of the saying that have been associated with sado  (茶道), what some still insist also calling "tea ceremony". What it means is that is moment is unrepeatable and should be appreciated as such and can be often seen in vertical calligraphies like this in places where sado is performed. Here it isn't of course a real calligraphy but a photograph and the unique opportunity is to eat eel aka "unagi"  (鰻/うなぎ). Brought to you by the Japan Unagi Association.

(For a bigger version of this picture both in color and black and white, check my "Japan Arekore" set on Flickr).
