(36) Pigs on the wing


It is often said that Japan has a unique way of mixing the traditional with the modern; and indeed it does, although not always in the way most people think. One such example is the picture above, taken somewhere in Kanagawa. For those never seen one before, the red gate in the left is one of the most recognizable Japanese symbols since it marks the entrance of all Shinto shrines (it’s not always painted red, though).
