On the rooftop of Meijiya in Kyobashi, one of the most upscale delicatessen/grocery stores in Tokyo that has been around so long that it spells its name "Meidi-ya" (it opened in 1885 when foreigners started coming to Japan and a correct system of transliterating Japanese hadn't yet been standardized): a small, private Shinto shrine that, in all probability, is there to bring good fortune to the store. I guess it has done a pretty good job...
