...that it isn't wasei-eigo (和製英語) i.e. English made in Japan: this superlative actually exists although it's not widely used anymore. However, it was used widely in the Meiji Period (1868-1912) when the Sayama (狭山茶) tea from Saitama started being exported to the West --hence the retro illustration.
