And after the basic Japanese Olympic souvenirs, we go a little deeper: Olympic teruterubozu (てるてる坊主), a handmade doll-talisman you hang on your window when you want to have good weather the next day. "Teru" (てる/照る) means "to shine" (as in "the sun shines") and "bozu" (坊主) means "Buddhist priest" and "little boy".
