I gave a lot of thought to what I should do to celebrate Nihon Arekore's 2,000 posts and I think few things could top the visit of a tengu (and a "Dai-Tengu/大天狗 i.e. a big, great tengu at that) almost exactly in front of our house in the last Sanja Matsuri. The tengu in question was the herald of the most important of the three most important omikoshi of Asakusa Jinja shrine and stopped for a while at that spot to wait for the omikoshi to come. Asakusa, Sanja Matsuri and tengu under my window -2000 posts in a nutshell.
