I had mentioned the gachapon before but then it was just the machines so here's what you win (from just one -there are literally countless). First, with the "pon" you get a small ball like this.
You open it and find a tiny "manual" of the series (in this case, six traditional souvenirs of Japan) and a black bag with the actual item.
Then you open the bag, you put the item together -this was the pagoda of Gangoji (元興寺) temple in Nara (for the record, the original is also a miniature -but it's 18 feet high)...
...and then you put it on a shelf and look at it. It isn't bad for 200 yen.
