(749) Onsen in Gunma (1)

First you take the shinkansen (新幹線) aka “bullet train” from Ueno; 

of course you don’t neglect to buy an o-bento (お弁当) lunchbox 

–if you do, you’ll be the only one not eating in the train. 

During the trip, you kill time playing with the seats that revolve to accommodate big groups – at 190 mph you can’t really look at anything happening outside your window.
