(3195) Like every summer...

...this year too, Takashimaya department store in Nihonbashi shows its own version of the season's fashion.

(3195) Όπως κάθε καλοκαίρι...

...έτσι και φέτος, το πολυκατάστημα Τακασιμάγια στο Νιχονμπάσι, δείχνει τη δική του εκδοχή για τη μόδα της εποχής.

(3194) 成田に戻り

 成田でも特に重要な寺院、成田山の表参道にて。ここは沖縄料理を出すレストランで、「ビリーブ」という言葉と「なんくるないさー」というフレーズを組み合わせた面白い名前の店だ。(「心配しないで、幸せになりなさい」という意味だ。）

(3194) Back in Narita...

...and specifically at the omotesando (表参道) the street that leads to the city's most important temple, Naritasan (成田山). Here, a restaurant serving Okinawan cuisine with an interesting name that is part the word "Believe" and part the phrase "nankurunaisa" (なんくるないさ) which in Okinawan means something like "don't worry, everything's going to be alright in the end". (I've also seen it translated as "don't worry, be happy".)

(3194) Πίσω στη Ναρίτα...

...και συγκεκριμένα στο ομοτεσάντο (表参道) τον δρόμο δηλαδή που οδηγεί στον σημαντικότερο ναό της πόλης, τον Ναριτασάν (成田山). Εδώ, ένα εστιατόριο με κουζίνα της Οκινάουα με μια ενδιαφέρουσα ονομασία η οποία είναι κατά ένα μέρος η λέξη "Believe"  και κατά ένα μέρος η φράση "νανκουρουνάισα" (なんくるないさ) που στη γλώσσα της Οκινάουα σημαίνει κάτι σαν "μην ανησυχείς: όλα θα πάνε καλά στο τέλος" (Στα αγγλικά έχω δει να το αποδίδουν και ως "don't worry, be happy.")

(3193) だるまには特別な関心があるのだが...

...このようなバージョンを見るのは初めてだ。見た目は面白いが、だるまの本質が欠けていると思う。浅草寺近くで立っていた市の屋台で。

(3193) Despite my special interest for Daruma...

...this is the first time I am seeing a version like this. Which is visually interesting but is, in my opinion, missing the essence of Daruma. At a fair stand near Sensoji.

(3193) Παρά το ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον μου για τους Νταρούμα...

...πρώτη φορά βλέπω μια τέτοια εκδοχή. Η οποία έχει ενδιαφέρον οπτικά αλλά χάνει, κατά τη γνώμη μου, την ουσία του Νταρούμα. Στον πάγκο ενός παζαριού κοντά στο Σενσότζι.

(3192) うなりくん

 千葉県成田市の観光マスコットキャラクター。名前（うなりくん）は成田市の特産品である「うなぎ」と成田市の地名である「成田」を組み合わせたもの、形は成田が東京の入口である2つの空港のうちの1つなのでうなぎと飛行機を組み合わせたものである。歌舞伎の『勧進帳』の主役、弁慶の衣装を着ている。成田が歌舞伎の家、特に「成田屋」と特別な関係があるからだ。

(3192) Unari-kun

The tourism mascot of Narita city in Chiba (千葉) Prefecture. His name (Unari-kun/うなりくん) is a combination of "unagi" (うなぎ/鰻) the freshwater eel that is the city's specialty and of Narita's name (成田) and his shape is a combination again of an unagi and an airplane since in Narita is one of the two airports that serve Tokyo. Here, Unari-kun is dressed in the costume of Benkei (弁慶), the lead character in the Kabuki play Kanjincho (勧進帳) because Narita has a special relationship with Kabuki and particularly with the guild called "Naritaya" (成田屋).
