...met a young man with a flute, confronted each other, the young man won and Benkei became his retainer and stayed with him until the end; the young man was Minamoto no Yoshitsune (源 義経, 1159 –1189), brother of the founder of Kamakura shogunate, Minamoto no Yoritomo (源 頼朝, 1147–1199). What the legend doesn't say but Tokyo Metro does is that they met when they bumped into each other because they were too busy looking at their cellphones. (Ushikawa-maru/牛若丸 was Yoshitsune's name when he was young.)

...συνάντησε έναν νεαρό με μια φλογέρα, αναμετρήθηκαν, ο νεαρός τον νίκησε και ο Μπενκέι έγινε ακόλουθός του και έμεινε μαζί του ως το τέλος -ο νεαρός ήταν ο Μιναμότο νο Γιοσιτσούνε (源 義経, 1159 –1189), αδελφός του ιδρυτή του σογκουνάτου της Καμακούρα, Μιναμότο νο Γιοριτόμο (源 頼朝, 1147–1199). Αυτό που δεν λέει ο μύθος αλλά η Tokyo Metro, είναι ότι συναντήθηκαν όταν έπεσαν ο ένας επάνω στον άλλον επειδή ήταν απορρροφημένοι στα κινητά τους. (Ουσικάουα-μαρού/牛若丸 ήταν το όνομα του Γιοσιτσούνε όταν ήταν μικρός.)

...and it's a shame because it's beautiful. It's about the message which is the first I've seen in 11 years about tattoos in public baths that makes sense; of course some will say why 6 x 6" etc. but it's a start. And by saying that "Japanese carving tattoos" (they mean wabori/和彫, the traditional tattoos not done by machine but by hand and are usually big) are completely forbidden they are saying indirectly that their problem isn't with tattoos in general but with those having the specific tattoos. I.e. what no one else is saying.

...και είναι κρίμα γιατί είναι υπέροχα. Είναι για το μήνυμα που είναι το πρώτο που έχω δει που να βγάζει νόημα σχετικά με τα τατουάζ στα δημόσια λουτρά εδώ και 11 χρόνια· βέβαια, κάποιοι θα πουν γιατί 15 x 15 κ.λπ. όμως είναι μια αρχή. Και λέγοντας ότι τα "ιαπωνικά σκαλιστά τατουάζ" (εννοούν τα ουαμπόρι/和彫, τα παραδοσιακά τατουάζ που δεν γίνονται με το μηχανάκι αλλά με το χέρι και που συνήθως είναι μεγάλα) απαγορεύονται εντελώς, λένε έμμεσα ότι το πρόβλημά τους δεν είναι τα τατουάζ γενικώς αλλά αυτοί που έχουν τα συγκεκριμένα ειδικά ειδικώς. Αυτό δηλαδή που δεν λέει κανείς άλλος.

... probably didn't work since the sight makes you think exactly what it is: a not exactly high class girls' bar in Ueno's back streets, towards Okachimachi.

...but I'll have to object on the shoes: it definitely needs boots! On the other hand, we saw him in Akihabara so maybe it's some special look from some manga; it's impressive how often this happens over there.
