...or "Doyo no Hi" (土用の丑の日) -this year, these days which come from the old calendar, were July 25th and August 6th- but we like it so we thought we'd eat it today. It's called unagi/うなぎ/鰻 (yes, that unagi) i.e. eel and the standard Edo way is spread open, skewered, grilled and served with a special sauce.
