On Sunday we went to Nihonbashi for a walk and when we got closer to the historic bridge itself (I’m not sure if I’ve written this before here but Nihonbashi is “kilometer zero” of Japan; that is, all distances are calculated from this point. Anyway, I’ve certainly written about it in Greecejapan) we saw that the traffic had been cut off and there were lots of people gathered there.
What was most interesting was that they were all carrying brushes and there was water (and fire engines) all over the place.
