The best example of Japanese fusion confectionery: Choko-daifuku (チョコ大福) or mochi (餅) i.e. glutinous rice cake filled with thick chocolate cream and covered in cocoa powder. Rumor has it that there are tastier things; perhaps it’s true but I haven’t found them yet.
