It’s a well-known fact that the Japanese don’t mess around when it comes to manga/anime and what was happening in Yokohama last week is a testimony to that: to promote the 17th Pokemon film and, especially the mini-film “Pikachu, What's This Key For?” (Pikachu kore nan no kagi?/ピカチュウ、これなんのカギ?) shown alongside it, Yokohama saw an outbreak of hundreds of manifestations of the series’ most popular character. Already in the exit of Sakuragi-cho (桜木町) station there were staff members giving Pikachu hats to passersby…
…and everyone got them and took the mandatory picture.
It goes without saying that part of the staff members’ uniform was Pikachu’s characteristic lightning tail.
