Sweet potatoes roasted in the stone/cast iron stove carried in the back of the truck –invariably accompanied by the wailing song “Yaki imo, yaki imo, ishi yaki imo” (焼きいも焼きいも石焼きいも) i.e. “baked potatoes, baked potatoes, stone-baked potatoes” (it can be found in the Japanese Wikipedia entry, here –just below the two pictures) as the truck drives very slowly in the back streets.
