I wrote a lot about Sanja Matsuri, the big festival in Tokyo’s Asakusa last year so this year I’ll just add a few leftovers. For example, a rare chance to see all three big O-mikoshi portable shrines of the Asakusa Jinja (浅草神社), the shrine celebrating the matsuri without the accompanying crowds and take a picture with them. In the night, of course.
