In many train stations, and especially if they are on the big side, there are works of art installed either for commemorative reasons or just to make the space more beautiful. This ceramic mural at Shimokitazawa (下北沢) Station in East Tokyo falls under the former category: it was made in 2019 to commemorate a railway project there that took 30 years to complete.
